Tetrahydrocannabivarin
(THCv)

Tetrahydrocannabivarine
-stabilization of besity-associated intolerance
-Euporiant
-Analgesic
-lowers appetite

THCv is a psychoactive cannabinoid that may possess several benefits, including an improvement in alertness. However, it doesn’t produce the same “high” associated with THC, which might be because of the slight difference in the chemical structure between the two cannabinoids. While THC can increase appetite, THCv does the opposite; it can reduce appetite.

Patients that don’t want to start eating more but who are still in need of the benefits of THC, look at cannabis plants that have more THCv to prevent the “munchies”. Additionally, the ability to reduce appetite is being studied for people with obesity and diabetes. Other potential conditions it may help include PTSD, Parkinson’s Disease, epilepsy and Alzheimer’s.
